Cleveland Heights (CH) unashamedly wears its successes and struggles. I have lived here for all my 22 years, and have observed such. History is a characteristic that elicits the most pride, seen in the dedication to existing businesses and historic design. The urban landscape is a homely mix of new and old, tradition and enterprising, and the visual markers of those who persist. The mix of the haves and have-nots lends to a sense of diversity but a sense that there is work to be done. The contrast between areas within CH can be shocking; some areas flourishing while others not. New development has introduced speculation of potential urban redevelopment, but have also brought fears of gentrification. Due to this duality, CH residents hold strong their commitment to contributing. Read about CH's history or tour the area, you will see evidence of the fight for justice. The residents that make up this great local, are intensely creative, committed to their neighborhood, and resilient.

The neighborhood is in a safe area with multiple bars, restaurants, coffee, shops, stores, and other things to do. Driving in the city is very annoying but that comes with living around the city. There are often scammers standing out around Coventry or little Italy for money, but the overall family environment is great.

It's calm and filled with lots of food options. There aren't many shopping centers close to where I live but they do have a variety of stores within the city. The people are friendly and there's lots of activities to do.
